“Open Banking and PSD2 – It works and it is scalable! It all began in 2007 - PSD2 is a European regulation for electronic payment services. It seeks to make payments more secure in Europe, boost innovation and help banking services adapt to new technologies. How does it work in practical and is it scalable – my answer in short is YES! I have been working with this capability within the B2B segment and already see a huge development in this area both in the Nordics but also across Europe. Some countries are more mature then other. It’s always about focusing on the customer (either make it more transparent, cheaper, quicker and more) but is also how you build your value proposition on top of PSD2 capabilities. I remember when I worked in Telecom industry more then 10 years ago and you can draw a comparison with the discussion we had then. Being an internet infrastructure vendor is important, but actually building value proposition on top of the capability is even more interesting. How many companies today do you think is building their value proposition on top of the internet capabilities? Does it sound interesting and you would like to hear more?
