ZTL and Wolters Kluwer partner to bring banking and reconciliation into Capego Accounting in Denmark

The partnership brings online banking and reconciliation directly into Capego Accounting. This helps Danish accounting professionals and businesses manage the financial workflow from invoice to payment and reconciliation in one place.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark — 25 Aug 2026 — ZTL and Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting today announce a new partnership in Denmark that will move the online bank and reconciliation into Capego Accounting. This enables users to manage more of their financial processes directly from their accounting system.

Capego Accounting users will be able to initiate and manage payments as part of the same workflow in which invoices are processed and approved. Once payments have been made, transaction data is brought back into Capego Accounting to support reconciliation. This keeps the workflow connected from invoice through payment to accounting.
By bringing banking and reconciliation to where the financial work already happens, ZTL and Wolters Kluwer are creating a simpler and more connected process. As a result, they reduce unnecessary steps, manual administration and switching between systems.

Capego Accounting is Wolters Kluwer’s cloud-based accounting solution for accounting and audit firms and their clients. It brings key financial processes together in one digital environment.
Through its partnership with ZTL, Wolters Kluwer is extending this experience into banking, payments and reconciliation.

“We are moving the online bank into the accounting system — and bringing reconciliation with it,” said Vegard Aven at ZTL. “Accounting professionals shouldn’t have to leave the system where they do their work to make payments, and they shouldn’t have to manually piece the process back together afterwards. Together with Wolters Kluwer, we are creating one connected flow in Capego Accounting, from invoice and approval through payment and reconciliation.”

The integration is particularly valuable for accounting firms managing financial processes on behalf of multiple clients. Traditionally, making payments and reconciling transactions can mean moving between the accounting system, different online banks and separate sources of banking information for each client.
With ZTL integrated into Capego Accounting, payment initiation becomes part of the accounting workflow itself. Also, the relevant banking data is brought back into Capego Accounting to support reconciliation. This gives accounting professionals a more streamlined way to manage the full payment cycle across their client portfolios.
For businesses, the same principle applies. Rather than treating accounting, online banking and reconciliation as separate processes, more of the financial workflow can be managed from Capego Accounting.

“Our goal with Capego Accounting is to give accounting professionals the tools they need to work efficiently in one connected environment. Our partnership with ZTL is an important step in that direction. By bringing banking, payments and reconciliation into Capego Accounting, we can create an even more seamless experience for our customers,” said [NAME, TITLE] at Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Denmark.

The partnership reflects a broader change in how businesses interact with their banks. Rather than requiring users to go to the bank to perform everyday financial tasks and then bring the resulting information back into their accounting system, banking services and data can increasingly be embedded directly into the software where the financial workflow originates.
For ZTL, the partnership with Wolters Kluwer represents another important step towards its ambition of moving the online bank into the accounting system — including the flow of banking data needed for reconciliation. It also helps expand embedded financial services across the Nordic accounting ecosystem.
